She was predeceased by: her parents, Adelaide Sanders and Gilbert Sanders; and her sibling Sidney (late Janice). She is survived by: her husband Sterling A. Simon; her children, Michéle, Kyle (Patricia), Jenelle (Joseph) and Courtney (late Erroll); her siblings, Shirley (late Clifford) and Ollie (late James); her grandchildren, Brandon (Tina), Ashley (Chris), Cameron, Kyra, Mia, Kayla, Zachary, Simone, Chase and Caleb; and her great grandchildren, Jaden, Zoë, Isaiah and Noelle.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Wine Christian Fellowship (1929 W Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA 70068). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery (1550 LA-44, Reserve, LA 70084).
