It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Jane Schnyder of Reserve, Louisiana, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Jenkins and Mary Jenkins (Montgomery); her daughter Cutuchea Schnyder; her grandsons, Stephen Schnyder and Ted Mitchell; her great grandchild Koi Taylor, Jr.; her stepsons, Reynold, Jr., John and Harold Schnyder; and her siblings, Fanny Hollands, Beatrice Schanult, Mamie Fisher and Henry Jenkins.
She is survived by: her husband Reynold J. Schnyder, Sr.; her children, Yolanda McCollough (Lynell) of Birmingham, AL, Sedgie Gomes of Houston, TX, Tangee Jackson (Bruce, Sr.) of Mansura, LA, Ingrid Schnyder of Reserve, LA., Tiffany Monier (Conde) of New Orleans, LA., Yvette Scioneaux (Alvin) of Garyville, LA., Victoria Taylor (Andrew, Sr.) of Laplace, LA, Kevin Schnyder (Terri) and Kirk Schnyder of Reserve, LA.; her grandchildren, Chanell Jenkins of Laplace, LA and Marcus Schnyder of Houston, TX; her stepchildren, Clayton Schnyder, Sr. (Rose) of New Orleans, LA and Judith Bailey of Baton Rouge, LA; and her siblings, Tina Travaglio of Kensington, CA, Pinky Thomas of Oakland, CA, Wilma Deyoung of Brentwood, CA, Vivian Jenkins of North Highland, CA and Arthur Jenkins of Smyrna. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
