He was predeceased by: his parents, Lise Matherne and Sidney Matherne; his former wife Grace Moore Matherne; his parents-in-law, Mary and James Moore; his brother SJ Matherne; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Champagne and Tip Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Gerry"; his children, Lasonya Figura, Lavona "Marie" Millet (Rickey), LaDonna Patton (Kelly), George Lassalle, Jr. and Laurie Lassalle; his grandchildren, Grace Nicholas (Carlos), Kristin Matthew, Kasie Jensen (Ashton), Whitney Triche (Jared), Robert Jensen, Katie Patton, Julia Davis (Dyllon), Liam Morrison, Kaely Morrison and Noah Lassalle; his great grandchildren, Noah Nicholas (Amber), Gabby Nicholas (Rae), Brayden, Mason Nicholas, Aiden Cali, Emma Triche, Skylir, Jaymes Tamplain, Fayith, Paris and Wrenlee Jensen; his siblings, Phil Matherne (June), Allen Matherne (Jody), Gloria Tamplain (Gordon), Noreen Champagne and Patty Baker (Conrad); his sisters-in-law, Amber Matherne and Joy Lynn Moore; and his godchild Gingar Guidroz (Josh). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
