She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelmine Kindrick and Douglas Kindrick; her siblings, Robert Kindrick, Mary K. Bailey and Barbara Kindrick; her parents-in-law, Elmo Ellis and Evelyn Ellis; her siblings-in-law, Isaac Mitchell, Jr., Eddie Bailey Sr., Larry Gordon, Donald, Gabriel, Ronnie, Tommy Cola, Jules Duhe, Lyle Ellis, Alfreda Kindrick, Evelyn Carrol and Pricilla Poche; her daughter-in-law Gaynell Ellis; and her nephew Terrell Kindrick.

She is survived by: her husband Lonnie Ellis, Sr.; her stepchildren, Lonnie, Jr., Lance (Crystal), Lori and LaMar Ellis; her siblings, Illha, Glynn, Laura Kindrick, Diane Mitchel, Wilhelmine Bailey of Kansas City, Debra Gordon, Nicholas, Sr. (Gloria), Verdell (Carol) and Jimmy Kindrick; her siblings-in-law, Karen Duhe, Brenda, Delores Cola, Clayton Poche, Sr. and Clifford Bailey, Jr.; her close friend Josephine Jackson (Pop); and her godchildren, John Julien, Jr. and Muriel Hurtley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (2349 LA-18, Edgard, LA 70049). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the same location.
