She is survived by: her husband Lonnie Ellis, Sr.; her stepchildren, Lonnie, Jr., Lance (Crystal), Lori and LaMar Ellis; her siblings, Illha, Glynn, Laura Kindrick, Diane Mitchel, Wilhelmine Bailey of Kansas City, Debra Gordon, Nicholas, Sr. (Gloria), Verdell (Carol) and Jimmy Kindrick; her siblings-in-law, Karen Duhe, Brenda, Delores Cola, Clayton Poche, Sr. and Clifford Bailey, Jr.; her close friend Josephine Jackson (Pop); and her godchildren, John Julien, Jr. and Muriel Hurtley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
