She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Olan and Iva Antley Walker; and her husband Robert Lee Powell. She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Pipkin of Rayville, Lynda Powell of Rayville and Betty Fortenberry; her grandchildren, Amy Tedeton, Jonathan Fortenberry, James Fortenberry, Donald Powell, Joshua Powell and India Whitherington; and her sister Florence Reese Thomas of California. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
