He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Mae Sorey; his parents, Clifton W. Sorey and Marie Sorey; and his siblings, Calvin Sorey and Peggy Sue Diebel.
He is survived by: his children, Joni Eikert (Paul Eikert) of West Monroe, LA and Gordon Sorey (Vicki Sorey) of Bay City, TX; his grandchildren, Kyle Takewell (Kimberly), Jeni Takewell, Stella Sorey, Jordan Patton, Logan Bailey and Dustin Henderson (Jenna); his sister Janice Green of Tucson, AZ; and his sister-in-law Audrey Tucker (John). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
