He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Stephens and Daisy Stephens; his wife Martha; and his siblings, Earl, Paul, Ralph, Martha Nell and Catherine.

He is survived by: his children, Jesus, Terry (Danny) and Randy (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Jesse and Sarah; his sister Rebecca (Glenn); and his sister-in-law Lucille Stephens.
