She was predeceased by: her parents, Manson Buckley "M. B." Fortenberry and Beatrice Powell Fortenberry; her husband Anthony "Tony" James Plakiotis, Sr.; and her brother James "Jim" Lewis Fortenberry. She is survived by: her children, Mary Mizell (Christina) and Anthony James Plakiotis, II of Holly Ridge, LA; her sister Alice Ogles of Holly Ridge, LA; and her grandchildren, Boston Martin and Brady Martin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
