He was predeceased by: his wife Olita J. Laurents; his son Gregory C. Laurents; his grandson Maurice Laurents; his great grandchild Aaron Trahan; his parents, Curley Carl Laurents and Nora Lee Hoffpauir Laurents; his siblings, Ruth Laurents Boudreaux, Nora Laurents LeBlanc, H. J. "DeeDee" Laurents and Carl Laurents; and his son-in-law Conny Trahan.
He is survived by: his children, Beth Laurents Trahan, Susan Laurents Trudel, Frederick Laurents (Kathy) and Stewart Laurents (Jackie); and his brother Glen Laurents. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
