He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Ann Habetz Trahan; his parents, Clemence Trahan and Lena Boudreaux Trahan; his siblings, Mary Ann Trahan Prejean and Merlin Trahan; his siblings-in-law, Wesley Boullion, Johnny Meche and Rose Marie Habetz; and his parents-in-law, Leonard August Habetz and Annie Gesina Cramer Habetz.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Trahan Vanicor (Van P. Vanicor); his grandson Van P. Vanicor, II; his stepgranddaughter Heather A. Vanicor; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Habetz Boullion, Louise Habetz Meche, Louis Robert Prejean, Edward J. Habetz (Marlene Habetz), Daniel L. Habetz (Judy Habetz), Gerhard R. Habetz (Gloria Habetz) and Charles H. Habetz (Pattie Habetz); and his godchildren, Sylvia Prejean Peltier, Lisa Habetz Pryor, Ronnie Guidry and Bryan Credeur.
