She was predeceased by: her husband Deynoodt "Dan" Joseph Besse, Sr.; her son Deynoodt "Dev" Joseph Besse, Jr.; her parents, Conrad Hoffpauir and Mable Caillouet Hoffpauir; and her siblings, Nettie Mae, Otis, Bert, Juanita, Sybil, Allen, Norbert, Conrad, Josie, Edward and Gerald.
She is survived by: her friend Bourree; her children, Jody Besse (Cori) of Cincinnati and Yolande Besse (Darren St Cyr) of Denham Springs; her grandchildren, Meghan Besse, Grant Besse (Sarah), Keirston Besse (Dexter Klees), Luke Besse, Payton Lasseigne (Joseph), John Michael Besse, Paige Besse, Jullien Winland and Allison Besse; and her sisters, Betty Hoffpauir Buquet and Marie Hoffpauir Richard (Rodney).
