She was predeceased by: her parents, Arcuis Bruner (Mable Richardson) and Poindexter R. "Toggie" Bruner; her grandparents, Ramson, Ophilia Edward Richardson, Marcill Charles and Mary Thomas Charles; and her brothers, Archie "Arkange", Willis, George, Vernis, Sr. and Lionel Richardson.
She is survived by: her daughter Wanjennia Bruner Atkins (Yusuf) of Baton Rouge, LA.; her sisters, Jannie Yowl of Opelousas, LA, Amy Frank of Ville Platte and Earcer Godfrey of Mansfield, LA; her grandchildren, Marquezz Richardson, Yusuf Atkins, Jr. and Mikeal Griffith; her stepgrandchildren, Charmaine Lewis, Destinn O'Bear and Antoinette McDowell; and her caregiver Jashyra "Jay" Savoy.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Owens-Thomas Funeral Home (910 W Hickory St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
