Michael Wayne Wright Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Wayne Wright of Rayne, Louisiana, who passed away on December 4, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Belle Junot Boudreaux and William Anthony Wright, Jr.; his brother Randall Wright; his great grandchild Talyn Simon; his in-laws, Hilda Simon and Rayal Simon; and his brothers-in-law, Leslie Leger, Edward Simon and Edmund Simon.
He is survived by: his wife Alverna Simon Wright; his children, Jan Clair Wright, Lia Terese Wright (Stacy Ancelet), Jeanne Billeaud Alleman (Teddy Alleman), Anthony Coy Wright (Kristie Wright) and Ted Michael Wright (Tasha Wright); his sisters, Zona Leger, Marilyn Link (Wally Link) and Evelyn Hanks (Steve Hanks); his half-sister Nikki Bergeron (Todd Bergeron); and his godchildren, Lance Leger and Jamie Menard Royer. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gossen Funeral Home Inc. (504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578). A rosary was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (401 S Adams Ave, Rayne, LA 70578). A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (400 E Betty St, Rayne, LA 70578).
