He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Mae "Meme" Jones and Adam Batiste Sr.; his siblings, Anthony Batiste, Adam Batiste Jr. and Rose Mary "Jeanelle" Batiste; his grandparents, Stella Loyas, Emilie Sias Jean Batiste and Hypolite Jean Batiste; and his cousins, Virginia Batiste, Rita Mae Batiste and Percy Lee "Poochie" Batiste.
He is survived by: his children, Danielle C. Bernard Thibodeaux (Joby Thibodeaux) and Maxton T. Batiste of Rayne, Louisiana.; his brothers, Leenel "Fatty" Batiste of Opelousas and Harry Batiste of Lafayette, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Kourtsie Bernard, Martin Guillory, Marquez'Lhonne Guillory, Madisson Chambers, Horacio Robertson, Shania Sonnier, Kora Jade Washington, Madalyn Lopez and Malonie Lopez; and his cousin Leona "Aunt Dah" Gable Rigsby. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Kinchen Funeral Home (1011 N St Antoine St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Leger Cemetery (5027 Abbeville Hwy, Rayne, LA 70578).
