He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Erik Mouton and Ma'kia Francis; his parents, Forest Mouton, Sr. and Matilda B. Mouton; his siblings, Forest Mouton, Jr., Carroll Patton, Marjorie Savoy, Eva Mae Foreman and Mary Mouton Guillory; and his close friend Isaac Senegal.
He is survived by: his children, Eula (Paul Wilturner) of Rayne, Rosa (Dilnesahu Sahle) of Lafayette, Sandra (Damian Evans) of Rayne, Ruby Mouton of Rayne, Ravin Jolivette of Duson, Mavin (Keith East) of Rayne, Carroll of Rayne and Frederick Mouton of Rayne; his siblings, Clifton Mouton of New Iberia, Harold (Rose Mouton) of Rayne, Laura Mae Rochon of Rayne, Anna Pearl (Horace Felix) of Duson, Judy Martin of Crowley and Judy Andrew of Scott; his nephew Cleveland Guillory of Rayne; and his close friends, Melvin Dupont and Joe Wheeler. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
