He is survived by: his wife Laura Richard Melancon of Rayne; his sons, Dale Melancon (Brenda) of Rayne and Danny Melancon (Suzanne) of Mire; his grandchildren, Scott Melancon (Jill), Shea Melancon (Chantel), Bryce Melancon (Hailey) and Brandon Stutes (Andree) of Rayne; his great grandchildren, Lane Melancon, Liam Melancon, Carter Melancon, Grayson Melancon and Genevieve Stutes; and his sister Nellie Cagnina of Lafayette.
