He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gabriel, Sr. and Lorena Logan Gabriel; his wife Mable Gabriel; his grandparents, Oliver Gabriel, Olivia Cormier Gabriel, Louis Logan and Stella Logan; his son Tommy Guidry; his siblings, Floyd Gabriel, Lloyd Gabriel, Calvin Gabriel, Sr., Stella "Patsy Ann" Gabriel and Dianna "Diane" Lafedge; and also Calvin Gabriel, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Shawntrece Keel (Stoney) of Rayne, LA, Troy Granger (Juanita) of Landover, MD, Derrick Gabriel of Houston, TX and Patrick Gabriel of Breaux Bridge, LA; his brother Michael Hardy of Lafayette, LA; and his children, Enola Gabriel (Milton III) of Lafayette, LA, Racquel Davis (Augustus 3rd) of Crosby, TX and Katreuna Sinegal of Lafayette, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church (600 W Jefferson Davis Ave, Rayne, LA 70578). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
