He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Hebert Owens; his parents, Ovignac Owens and Nola Domingue Owens; and his siblings, Bernice Owens Credeur, Edith Owens Sonnier and Clyde Owens.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Mary Adolie Matthews (Wilfred) of Crowley. He is also survived by three step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, two great great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
