He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marcella Sonnier Gildersleeve of Mire; his children, Kevin Gildersleeve (Donna) of Mire, Shannon Trischler (Carl) of Pikesville, KY and Kelley Gildersleeve (Kristie) of Clarksville, TN; his sisters-in-law, Yvonne Meyers of Sunset and Connie Gildersleeve of Evansville, IN; his parent Burnie Gildersleeve; his siblings, Ed Gildersleeve and Jeanne Gildersleeve; and his brother-in-law Robert Meyers. He was also cherished by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Lions Club Camp, Lions Club Eye Foundation, St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital in Shreveport, or to the charity of choice.
