He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Martin Doucet; his parents, Dalton Jospeh Doucet, Sr. and Bertha Menard Doucet; and his brothers, Bradley James Doucet, Russell Doucet (Mary Doucet) and Richard Lee Doucet.
He is survived by: his brother Dalton Joseph Doucet, Jr. (Verna Doucet) of Rayne. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Gossen Funeral Home Inc. (504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (401 S Adams Ave, Rayne, LA 70578). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the Istre Cemetery (2326 Swift Rd, Morse, LA 70559).
