He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Ann and Van Joseph Drounett Sr.; and his brothers, Brandon Kopp and Douglas Drounett. He is survived by: his daughter Skylar McDaniel (Drounett) of Moss Bluff; and his siblings, Stephanie Kopp Kennedy (Kurt) of Ragley and James Drounett (Defina) of Westlake. He is also survived by two nieces, one nephew,; one great niece; and numerous aunts uncles and friends.
