Norma Jean Burleigh Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Jean Burleigh of Ragley, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Ferdie; and her sisters, Gloria Wimberly (Curt) and Elaine Nation. She is survived by: her siblings, Eloise David (late Pat), Kenneth Lyons (Linda), Deborah Mohajer (Kazem) and Dwaine Lyons; her husband Robert Burleigh; her children, Lou Alice Barrow (James) of Longville, Corey Burleigh (Betty) of Ragley, LA, Stephanie Leger (Donald) of Ragley, LA, Gracie Torres (Martin) of Carlyss, LA and Marshall Burleigh (Kassie) of Ragley, LA.; her grandchildren, Mandy Jones (Matt), Jessica, Samantha Barrow, Allison Johnson (Nick), Kaitlin Maulding (Jacob), Jeremiah Leger, Joshua Leger (Noelle King), Anna Hennigan (Joseph), Abigail, Joseph, Ashleigh Leger, Emily, Isaac and Aaron Burleigh; and her great grandchildren, Gwyn, Luke Jones, Jaxson, Ira, Ivy Johnson, Ethan Leger, Sebastian Leger, August, Atticus and Autumn Hennigan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff (150 Bruce Cir, Moss Bluff, LA 70611). A rosary will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (16816 US-171, Ragley, LA 70657).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church building fund in Norma's memory.
