He was predeceased by: his son Dale; his parents, Ervin Ray and Avis Mae Brown; and his sister Janice. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Shockley Brown; his children, Joe Brown, Nik Ray Brown (Megan), April Davis and Laura Stovall (Butch); and his siblings, Ray E. Brown Jr. and Kathleen Schmidt. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
