He is survived by: his children, Johnny Lee Carpenter (Teresa) of Ragley, Billy Ray Carpenter (Jill) of Pensacola, Florida and Mona Carpenter Orloski (Bill) of Monroe, Louisiana; his granddaughters, Maddi Lora Carpenter and Sydney Lynn Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Saylor, Ellie and Kingston; his stepgranddaughter Lacey Freeman Smithson; and his caregiver Katie.
