It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derrick Ware Young of Ragley, Louisiana, born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Jamie Roberts; and his uncle Leroy Young. He is survived by: his daughter Gracie Brooke Young of Kinder, LA; his parents, Donald "Don" Young and Gloria Young; his siblings, Donna Holmes-Roy (Kevin), Clint Young (Miranda) of Ragley and Wesley Young of Ragley; his former wife Ashley Andrus; his close friends, Mickey Miller, Rob Frye, T. J. Eskind and John Dyson (Rissa); and his nieces and nephews, Brandon, Bryan, Brent, Seth, Beth (Andrew), Dustin, Ty Jo, Courtney (Cody Bob) and Kristin. He is also survived by numerous other great-nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family.
