It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Olia Hooper of Ragley, Louisiana, who passed away on November 21, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Toney Nix and Bessie Jeanette Nix; her children, Debbie Jeanette Phillips and T. L. Bartley; and her siblings, Donald Nix, Kermit Nix, Belton Nix, Neil Nix, Shirley June Mims and Novie Melancon.

She is survived by: her daughters, June Hooper (Fritz Hoeger) of Ragley and Mary Anne Fontenot of Ragley; and her grandchildren, Brady Reeves, Bobby Reeves, Charles Fontenot, Rocky Fontenot, Joshua Hooper and Shaunda Hooper. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
