We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2024, Ruby LeBlanc Cortez of Raceland, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel J. Cortez; her close friend Henry Zeringue Jr.; her parents, Robert T. LeBlanc and Elvira Chiasson LeBlanc; and her siblings, Irene L. Folse, Bessie L. Adams, Jenny L. Adams, Jessie LeBlanc and Mae Ruth L. Knight.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel M. Cortez (Pam), Kenneth J. Cortez, Christine C. Grabert (Bobby), Kim Cortez (Debbie) and Robin C. Guidry (Perry). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church (333 Twin Oaks Dr, Raceland, LA 70394). A Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the St. Mary Cemetery (3500 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394).
