We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2024, Mary Elizabeth Hitt of Raceland, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lawson Hitt I and Wanda St. Romain Hitt; and her grandparents, Martin, Rita St. Romain, Jack and Lucile Hitt.

She is survived by: her siblings, Harry Lawson Hitt II (Mae), John Hitt, James Hitt I (Penny), Charles Hitt (Crystal), David Hitt (Melinda), Wanda Karen Hunter (Selena), Anne Hitt (Alphonse) and Jane Motley (Richard). She is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews; and 24 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Falgout Funeral Home (3838 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Hilary Catholic Church (333 Twin Oaks Dr, Raceland, LA 70394). A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Mary Cemetery (3500 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394).
