He was predeceased by: his parents, Alcide Champagne and Juliette Boudreaux Champagne; and his siblings, Bobby Champagne, Gloria Adams and Helen Bahm.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Thibodaux Champagne; his children, Heather Champagne Martin (Michael Martin, Jr.) and Jeremy J. Champagne (Adrian P. Breaux, Jr.); his grandchildren, Zoe and Zakary Martin; and his siblings, Nobby Champagne, Joyce Duet, Bonnie Hohensee, Peggy Brown, Ruby Plaisance and Irene Adams.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Community Center. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
