It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Lirette Cherry of Raceland, Louisiana, born in Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Dudley Faciane; her husband Gary Cherry; her parents, Delvin "Pappose" Lirette, Sr. and Rosalie LeBouef Lirette; her siblings, Delvin "D. J." Lirette, Jr., Barbara Lirette and Elaine Lirette; and her siblings-in-law, Lyle LeCompte and Brenda Lirette.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse Authement, Kelly Authement, Charity Boudreaux (Jacob), Dustin Faciane (Paige Clement) and Ashley Faciane; her siblings, Richard "Ricky" Lirette and Eleanor Lirette; and her sister-in-law Joanna Lirette. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
