It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Hanson Jr. (Raceland, Louisiana), born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Merritt Matherne; his stepfather Morrison Matherne, Sr.; his grandparents, B. Merritt of Arizona, Dewy Merritt and Lillie Hanson; and his siblings-in-law, Annie B. Robichaux, Paul Robichaux, Jr. and Ralph P. Robichaux.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen R. Hanson; his son Sonny E. Hanson, Sr.; his grandson Sonny E. Hanson, Jr.; and his siblings, Adler J. Champagne, Morrison Matherne, Jr., Glenda Sue M. Premeaux and Brenda Matherne.
