He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vail and Lois Vail (Kelley); and his siblings, Donald R. Vail and Lurline Vail Whitten. He is survived by: his wife Connie Vail; his children, Tina Vail Sutton (David) and Richard Vail, Jr. (Melissa); his stepsons, Jamie Beckham (Charity) and Greg Beckham (Jeanette); and his brothers, Cotton Vail of Lake Placid, FL, Kenneth Vail of Farmerville, LA and Robert C. Vail of Quitman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
