She was predeceased by: her husband Evan Eugene Austin; her parents, Robert Lowrey and Lee Ether Lowrey; her parents-in-law, Evan W. and Rhuey Austin (Stewart); her siblings-in-law, Lurline Austin Skipper (Roy), Harley Austin (Gladys) and John L. Austin; and her nieces, Brandy Parker and Lori Thompson.
She is survived by: her sons, Eugene Austin and Robert Austin (Jennifer); her grandsons, Payton Austin, Holden Austin and Kayden Austin; her siblings-in-law, Evie Austin Jones and Charles Glenn Austin (Barbara); her nephew Darrell Peddy (Sharon); her niece Marion Peddy Watson (Wally); and her sister-in-law Patricia Austin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lessie was an active attendee at the annual Austin Family Reunion that was held in March each year until Covid-19 spoiled our reunion events for the years 2020 and 2021.
