John Robert Dingler Obituary
John Robert Dingler, age 73 of Quitman, passed through the Heavenly gates on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Mr. John was a great outdoors man. He thoroughly enjoyed outdoor activities such as deer hunting and duck hunting. He also liked to fish and to go noodling. When he wasn't hunting or fishing you might find him sitting on his front porch watching the hummingbirds feed.
John made fur-ever friends with many of the neighborhood dogs and he always made sure he had some ham to treat them with when any of them would come for a visit. He loved and treasured his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Duane Hostetler and Sheila, Angela Cheatwood and Jason, Tina Rollinson, Randy Dingler and Amanda, Patricia Burney and Larry; grandchildren, Trey, Perry and Sierra Hostetler, Farrah Sullivan, Makayla Cheatwood, Ricky, Casey and Jonathan Brouillette, Alex Newman, Hannah and Paisley Dingler, Madyson, Elysia, Ethan and Trinity Burney; 5 great grandchildren; sister, April Powell; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dylan Dingler; father, Edward Robert Dingler; mother, Jacqualine Lea (Meyer) Butler; step-father, Clayton Butler; siblings, Bill Dingler, Sally Dingler, Bobby Dingler, Martha Dingler, Jackie Henderson. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Old Saline Cemetery at 10:00a.m. with Pastor Sandra Sanford officiating.
Burial will follow in the cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Randy Dingler, Ricky Brouillette, Jonathan Brouillette, Tanner Colbert, Larry Burney. To plant Memorial Trees in memory of.
