She was predeceased by: her former husband John Markey; her daughter Debra Hopwood; her granddaughters, Susan and Philomena; and her parents, Emile Waguespack and Thelma Waguespack (Cannon).
She is survived by: her husband Bootsie; her daughter Mary; her son-in-law David Fruge; her grandchildren, Megan Kelly, Cierra Ervin (Jared), Macie Fruge and Derek Hopwood; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ruby, Addison, Destiny, Liam Kelly, Marygail and Jack Ervin; and her siblings, Ann Long, Mary Sharon, Gloria Halbritter and Paul Waguespack of Massachusetts.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (4826 Main St, Zachary, LA 70791). A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Louisiana National Cemetery (303 W Mt Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, LA 70791).
