She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel "Skipper" Despaux; her son Michael Despaux; her parents, Gustave Cognevich and Myrtle Williams Cognevich; her brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Cognevich; and her son-in-law Lloyd Mahe.

She is survived by: her children, Danna Capps, Jill Mahe', Kerry Despaux and Barry Despaux. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
