She was predeceased by: her parents, Bishop Jesse Brown, Sr. and Dr. Cecelia P. Brown; her siblings, Cecelia Ann Brown and Mark Anthony Brown; and her grandparents, Sam, Emily Brown, Harry and Ida Parker.
She is survived by: her husband Wilfred "Bill" Mackey; her children, Adrienne Brown, Rachel Brown and Carrington Brown, Sr.; and her grandchildren, Jermiara, Jeremiah Edmond, Jr., Asiana, Carrington Jr., Mila, Rylan Brown and Eidyn Johnson. She is also survived by five sisters, three brothers, three aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
