It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Alexis of Port Sulphur, Louisiana, who passed away on June 10, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Alexis and Julia Sylve Alexis; his wife Margaret Frances Solet Alexis; and his siblings, Charles Alexis, Paul Alexis, Robert Alexis, Joseph Alexis, Martiana Alexis Sylve, Emma Alexis and Rita Alexis.
He is survived by: his daughter Dena Solet Phillips; his son-in-law Troy Phillips, Sr.; his grandchildren, Edward Solet (Misty), Troy Phillips, Jr., Ross Phillips (Rohonna) and Kelli Polk (Louis); his great grandchildren, Madison Solet, Trebor Fabiano, Bryon Solet, Leigh Encalade, Gabrielle Polk, Brianna Solet, Malaysia Phillips, Garry Polk, III and Xania Phillips; his brothers, Douglas Alexis (Pamela) and Peter Alexis (Rose Ann); and his sister-in-law Alma Alexis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Due to COVID-19 while attending the services, please wear a mask when entering the funeral home, the church and at the burial site.
