With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Riley of Port Sulphur, Louisiana, who passed away on March 12, 2021 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosemary Turner and James S. Riley; and his child Ashley Riley. He is survived by: his children, Sabrina LaFrance (Derrick), Tabitha Robinson (Robert), Renata Smith (Stanley), Cierra Smith (Willie) and James Riley Thomas (Shonta); his siblings, Herbert Turner (Carol), Linda Williamson (late Vernon), Stephanie Riley (Melvin), Erna Riley (Victor Ingraham Sr), Anthony Riley (Paula), Donald Riley (Yolanda), Dr. Theodore Turner Jr. (Heneritta), Pastor Kenneth Parker Sr. (Carolyn), Patricia, Douglas Riley, Trenice R. Gordon, Melvina Jones (David), Melva Green and Mondrall Walker; his friend Anna Mae Thomas; his godchildren, Thomas Brown and Charlene Manning; and his friend Melvin Riley III. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
