She is survived by: her sons, Michael Sylvester (Janice) of Opelousas, LA and John Gary Sylvester, Sr. (Cynthia) of Port Barre, LA; and her sister Bessie Lee Ellis of Port Barre, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
