He is survived by: his wife Kiyoe Kimura Sonnier; and his children, Jerry Sonnier, Bobby Sonnier (Jenny), Kirby Sonnier (Brenda), Edmond "Eddie" Joseph Sonnier, Jr. and Debbie Sonnier Buckley (Randy). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
