He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar "Ed" Hughes and Virginia "Jennie" Russell; his brother-in-law Joseph "Jofy" Moore; and his nephew Joseph Kendall Nickolaus. He is survived by: his wife Mandy Blanchard Hughes; his children, Joey Hughes (Rachel Allement), Justin Hughes and Victoria Hughes (Drake Willis); his grandchildren, Tyler, Maddie, Jaxon, Mason Hughes and Riley Willis; and his sister Jennie Moore.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilbert Funeral Home (440 S Alexander Ave, Port Allen, LA 70767).
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
