He is survived by: his wife Rhea Saia Mertz; his brothers, David Mertz (Terrin) and Todd Mertz; his parents-in-law, Mary Bennett and Joseph Saia, Jr. (Penny); his brothers-in-law, Bennett Saia (Angelle) and Bart Saia (Nanette); his nieces and nephews, Mary Claire Saia, Bennett Charles Saia, Juliana Saia, Molly Saia, Wade Saia, Charlotte Hinkle and Abigail Hinkle; his goddaughter Olivia Landry; his uncle Benny Bentivegna (Liz); and his close friends, Mike and Kelly Lambert. He is also survived by numerous cousins and other family members.
