It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jacob Smallwood of Port Allen, Louisiana, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on November 1, 2021, at the age of 24, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles T. Smallwood, Herbert H. Hofer and Violet Whelan (Hofer). He is survived by: his parents, John Smallwood of St. James, Missouri and Jeanie Hofer of Rolla, Missouri; his stepmother Nanci Biermann; his grandparents, Marilyn Smallwood Schwartze and Norbert Schwartze of St. James, Missouri; his sister Emily Smallwood of Nashville, Tennessee; and his half-brother John Matthew Smallwood. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Jake Smallwood Memorial Fund, which will provide scholarship funds to a student (s) from Jacob's hometown pursuing a degree from the University of Missouri, his alma mater.
