He was predeceased by: his parents, JB Simpson and Lucille Bouy Simpson; and his siblings, Juanita Simpson, Irma Jean Tullier (Willard), Jeff Simpson, Norma Jackson (Pete), Bobbie Ann Miller, Roy (Edward Caffarel), Marvin Simpson, Clayton Simpson, Marion Hackler (Ed) and Ronnie Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Prestridge Simpson of Port Allen; his children, Keith (Mary Ann Simpson), Sherri Simpson Andrus of Katy, TX, Marsha (Ken Jaramillo) and Brent (Monique Simpson); his brother Donald (Dee Simpson); his sisters-in-law, Joan Simpson and Betsy Gosserand; his grandchildren, Hannah, Kara, Alexa Andrus, Hillary Sutton (Philip), Olivia Luke (Jesse), Benjamin Simpson, Grace Simpson (Logan Lopez), Eric Simpson, Madeleine Simpson and Tillman Jaramillo; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte Sutton and Nora Sutton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM and on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Port Allen (4200 Rebelle Ln, Port Allen, LA 70767). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (6145 N Greensburg Rd, Summit, MS 39666).
