She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Lee Mitchell "Mitch"; her parents, Louis Vavasseur and Amelia Sarazin Vavasseur; and her siblings, Della Vavasseur David, Wavie Vavsseur Cline, Milton, Kernel, Louis Jr., Herman and Floyd Vavasseur.
She is survived by: her children, Jenny Hebert and Randy; her children-in-law, Laurie Morse Mitchell and Kenneth Hebert; her grandchildren, Jordan Panepinto (Jared), Jacob Hebert, Heather Drye, Alesha Watts (Kenny), Hannah Brown (Nicholas), Rachel Braford (Will), Sarah Mitchell and Benjamin Mitchell; and her great grandchildren, Dominic, Lane Panepinto, Paige Drye, Madison Gainey, Avery, Andrew Watts, Joseph Brown and Charles Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
