He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wade Matherne, Sr. and Julia Marie Daigle Matherne of Port Allen; and his siblings, Margaret LeBlanc (Matherne), Gertrude Hicks (Sis), James Wade Matherne, Jr. (Bucket), Jacqueline Brabham (Jackie) and Elizabeth LaBauve (Matherne).
He is survived by: his former wife Margaret V. Prejean Matherne (Deceased); his children, Christine Broxson (Joseph Broxson) of Sealy, TX, Casey Hensley (Thomas Hensley), J. T., Wyatt Hensley of Lakewood, CO, Christie Rae Broxson of Denver, CO., Beth Burkette of Denham Springs, Howard G. Wright, III (Jessica Wright), Camille, Mylee, James Wright of Greenwell Springs, Zachary J. Wright (Chantel Wright) of Denham Springs, Clifton J. Matherne, Jr. (Bo) of Prairieville and Kaleigh Soileau (Steven Soileau); his grandchildren, Jameson, Jack and Bo (Stacie Matherne); his sons, Dylan J. Matherne and Andrew P. Matherne of Port Allen; his granddaughter Sarah Matherne; his great grandchild Evelyn G. Barton; his daughter Taylor Matherne; his granddaughter Emma J. Smith; his wife Lois T. Matherne (Laverne); his son Stanley (Rita Smith) of New Mexico; his grandson Charles; his daughter Elaine Rawstern (Gerald Rawstern) of Bay City, TX; his granddaughter Michelle Crumbaker; his children, Alex, Harrison of Fort Worth, TX and Kimberly Riggs (Tim Riggs) of Bay City, TX; his grandchild Jordan (Joshua Lesher); his great grandchildren, Camryn, Lydia and Nolan; his daughter Jillian Riggs; his grandson Matthew Smith of Texas Clifton; and also, Bonnie Chelette and Sadie Barker. He is also survived by his four children.
There will be no funeral for Clifton Matherne, Sr. because of Covid-19 Virus conditions.
