He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Golmon; his son Charlie "Trey" Vernon; his siblings, Sharon G. Aymond, Mike (Tonya) and Paul (Ginny); his grandchildren, Brandon, Megan, Brooklyn, Austin and Beau; his parents-in-law, Jimmy Dunlap and Deanie DeJean; and also Mike Lege. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
