We are sad to announce that on September 8, 2018, at the age of 65, Murray W. Massel (Ponchatoula, Louisiana), born in Kenner, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Massel and Merlin Massel; and his father-in-law Ralph Adams of Morganza. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Mardi" Massel; his children, Will Massel (Tina), Christian Massel, Casey Massel (Brooke), Brandy Lynn Massel Gumela (Donnie), Tommy Massel (Danyell) and Hunter Massel; his grandchildren, Sadie-Lynn, Bug, Mia Massel, Donald, Joseph, Vincent Massel, Ariadne Massel, Adrianna Massel, Charleigh Gumela, Lincoln Massel, Hunter Massel Jr, London Massel, Brennan Matecun and Alyssa Matecun; his siblings, Merle Massel Mulkey (Shelton Jr), Cheryl Massel Kibat (Michael), Artie Massel, Lorraine Massel Dendinger (Joe) and Michael Massel (Pam); his godchildren, Cheli Gavitt and Tyler Smith; his mother-in-law Myrtle Adams of Morganza; and also Cajun Buddy.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Ponchatoula Police Department to help the cost of their vests and safety equipment.
