She was predeceased by: her son Joseph (Dianne); her parents, Lloyd Henry Gass and Gertrude Mary Scanlon; and her former husband Thomas Filip. She is survived by: her daughters, Tess, Shari (Russell) and Melissa. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kay was a member of RCIA for 10 years, and donated her time for a number of years to "Daily Bread" in Hammond, La.
